What I'm Watching - August 5, 2023
August 5, 2023, already? Didn't summer just begin a couple weeks ago? Nevertheless, while the summer has progressed, so have my television viewing habits. As such, this blog will be providing an update to my television viewing thus far this summer.
- As the only new show to air within this summer that I am currently viewing, The Wonder Years has been a delight to see with new episodes this season. It is a shame that it has an inconsistent airing schedule, making it somewhat difficult to keep up with the new episodes releasing. Nevertheless, I hope it continues to be a strong season!
- Earlier this summer, what started as simply catching an episode of All Grown Up! became a binge of the entire series on Paramount Plus. This was such an interesting experience watching the preteen Rugrats, and I don't regret it at all!
- In reruns on my local The CW affiliate, I have been watching Black-ish for the first time, and have truly enjoying it. In first-run, I didn't start watching until at least season six, not becoming a regular viewer until the seventh season premiere. As such, I am watching these episodes for the first time.
- Another show I am actively watching in reruns is Benson, a series I began watching truly because I started thinking about the theme song one day. Ever since, I have been actively catching up.
- Recently, The CW began airing Canadian shows, and I have been tuning in check them out. Thus far, I have only seen Son of a Critch and Children Ruin Everything, having viewed two and three episodes, respectively. I am optimistic to see what these shows have in store!
- Earlier this summer, I have also caught up with the latest of the Ninjago franchise with the Netflix sequel series Ninjago: Dragons Rising. The series is a fun re-entry into the LEGO world, and it is the most exciting entry the franchise has had to offer in a while.
- Finally, as I write this, I am rewatching Ms. Marvel, or rather watching for the first time. Though I recall tuning into every episode week by week last summer when it debuted on Disney Plus, my drowsiness made it impossible to follow the storylines past the first episode. As such, with the series' linear debut on ABC with The Wonderful World of Disney, I am watching the series fresh.
Overall, I am excited to check out more television this summer and begin writing more reviews for this blog.
